Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) - Farm Girl Fresh

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

I’m so excited – we just signed up for our CSA share this week! We’ve been buying a CSA share for several years and love it!

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)Our book, Eating Pure in a Processed Foods World®, is designed and written to help you use the variety of produce you receive in CSA shares.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is becoming more and more prevalent throughout the country. Joining a CSA will allow you to buy fresh seasonal food directly from a local farmer.

To participate in a CSA, you purchase a “share.” This share consists of several boxes of fresh produce for you to enjoy throughout the growing season. By participating in a local CSA, you also reap the benefit of building a relationship with the farmer that is growing your food. These farmers work hard and are proud of their gardening practices that pursue sustainability by preserving and protecting our resources.

Visit http://www.localharvest.org/ to find a CSA located near you and sign up today while there’s still shares available!
