One of the things we enjoy when we’re out and about at events is meeting people and having good conversations. We were discussing instant pots recently, and one gentlemen told us his favorite thing to make in an instant pot was hard boiled eggs. He loved the fact that you can put the eggs in, walk away without having to keep a close eye on the boiling process and come back a few minutes later to perfectly boiled eggs every time! Here’s how:
Place eggs in a single layer on wire rack. Pour about 1 inch of water in bottom of instant pot (approximately 4 cups).
Secure cover, press manual setting and using the plus and minus buttons, set timer to 7 minutes.
When timer goes off, quick release steam by carefully moving pressure valve open with a long-handled wooden spoon before removing cover.Immerse eggs in cold water to cool.
Eggs can be eaten immediately or cooled and stored in refrigerator. Hard boiled eggs are a healthy, kid-friendly snack that are easy to make and great to have on hand. Eat them plain, sprinkled with a little salt and pepper, on your salad, or made into deviled eggs or egg salad (page 153).
