You can feel good about serving this healthy, flavorful apple cider to your family. It’s made with only four pure ingredients. Plus, it’s super simple to make in your instant pot!
INSTANT POT APPLE CIDER
3 pounds apples
6 cups water
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1/3 to 1/2 cup honey, depending on tartness of apples
Wash, core and quarter apples leaving skins on. Place in instant pot with water and spice.
Secure lid and move pressure valve to “sealing” position. Select “manual” setting and set timer to 10 minutes (use + and – buttons to adjust). Allow pressure to release naturally 25 to 30 minutes. Move pressure valve to “venting” position to release any remaining pressure. Remove lid and stir well.
Place a large strainer across a large bowl or stock pot on your counter. Transfer cider and pulp into strainer a little at a time. Use a ladle or large flat spoon to mash the apples in the strainer. Continue until you’ve extracted all the cider and some of the pulp.
Stir in honey to desired sweetness. This is delicious served hot or cold!
