Our wedding anniversary is February 14th, and although at the time that seemed like a romantic day to get married, we didn’t realize we’d be sharing an evening out on the town with every other couple in the county each Valentine’s Day. Preparing a special meal at home became more appealing to us. Even before we had kids, I remember coming home from work and Scott had candles, grilled steak and salad, and chocolate set lovingly on the table.
After we had kids, we continued the tradition of celebrating Valentine’s Day at home. The fun family night included eating a special meal complete with a kid-friendly sparkling beverage. If you’re like us and want to enjoy a fun meal at home, have your children look through our book, Eating Pure in a Processed Foods World® or check out our website for recipes to help you plan your special family Valentine’s Day meal. They will love helping decorate, setting the table, and preparing the food (some of them may be old enough to help serve it). Enjoy this special day to show your love to each other. Happy Valentine’s Day!
