A great childhood memory of mine is sipping spiced tea during the cold wintery months in Minnesota. I am not sure when “Tang” hit the marketplace, but we were a household that added to their company’s profits.
My mom had a recipe that included instant tea, sugar, tang, dry lemonade and spices. You simply added a couple of tablespoons of dry mix to hot water and you had a great tasting cup of spiced tea. Today, looking back, I wonder what the nutritional value was of that drink. I have concluded I loved it for the sugar high!
This Spiced Tea recipe is a healthy twist to the dry tea mix that I am so emotionally attached to. Amazing what emotional responses we get from food. Enjoy this delightful tea!
