Spinach Artichoke Dip

It’s fun to make something special to snack on for a party! Our Spinach Artichoke dip is easy to make in your crock pot and serve with veggies or crackers. We love gluten-free Simple Mills crackers to eat it with.

I just made this recipe for a family gathering. When I did a quick taste test before serving it, I thought it was missing something. So I decided to add our Farm Girl Fresh Seasoned Salt and it added the perfect zip to this classic recipe! Our Seasoned Salt recipe can be found on page 125 of our book, Eating Pure in a Processed Foods World®. You can also purchase our Seasoned Salt in our online store. Click here.

SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup heavy cream
10 ounces (approximately 7 cups) baby spinach, washed
1/2 cup diced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1-1/2 teaspoons
Seasoned Salt  (page 125 of our book, Eating Pure in a Processed Foods World®)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 (13 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1/2 cup shredded raw cheddar cheese (optional)

Place cream cheese and cream together in slow cooker and mix well. Place spinach in a large skillet with 2 tablespoons water. Cover and steam 4 minutes until wilted. Remove from skillet and place in colander. Drain. Using a large spoon, press down on spinach to remove liquid. Add spinach and remaining ingredients (except cheddar cheese) to slow cooker. Stir together. Cook on high 1 hour or until warm. Place cheddar cheese on top if desired. Serve with veggies or crackers.
