Summer Honey Tea

Summer Honey Tea

On these beautiful summer days I enjoy a tall glass of ice tea or lemonade after working in the garden, a long walk, or playing with my grandchildren. In the past, I consumed a lot of pre-mixed, sugary iced tea or lemonade (and I admit I enjoyed every glass) during the summer months. Since being on the path of consuming pure food, I try to find ways to make healthier beverages that meet my expectations of flavor. For me, this Summer Honey Tea passes both the flavor test and the healthier beverage test.

In this recipe I use organic English Breakfast tea. The black tea provides antioxidants that can help protect cell damage and the added lemon juice supplies my body with Vitamin C. What more can I ask for in this tea? It is easy, delicious and healthy! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
