Over the years I have had several different types of measuring spoons—plastic ones, metal ones, stainless steel ones, some with long handles, some with short handles, and some in the shape of a heart (what was I thinking). My favorite spoons are the ones that fit in my spice jars and have longer handles. I also have a couple of sets that do not include the 1/8 teaspoon.
My choice for a measuring spoon set is the CIA Masters Collection 6 Piece Measuring Spoon Set. This set is made of quality stainless steel and the measurement sizes are easy to read. I also like spoon sets that have a slim handle and include both the 1/8 teaspoon and the 1/2 tablespoon.
So when your shopping for measuring spoons, keep these ideas in mind. It might end up saving you money.
