Gluten-Free Turkey Gravy - Farm Girl Fresh

Gluten-Free Turkey Gravy

Here is the gluten-free gravy recipe we use at Thanksgiving. This can be made anytime by substituting the turkey drippings with chicken or beef broth. Your family won’t even know it is gluten-free. So tasty – so delicious!

It is good on boiled or mashed potatoes and our families love it!

TURKEY GRAVY

3 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons arrowroot powder

3 cups turkey drippings/broth

1 teaspoon dried sage

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

salt and pepper to taste

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in arrowroot powder to make a thick paste. Whisk in drippings/broth, sage and onion powder. Drippings have more flavor. If using broth alone, you may want to add more seasonings. Stir until thick. (Do not let it boil or the consistency will return to more of a liquid and not be a nice thick gravy.)

Season with salt and pepper.
